Charedeleco – By Dave White

by admin on January 31, 2014

I’ve saved that which is dearest to me for last; Charedeleco, the leper community. Don took me there, on the outskirts of Nkungi, in 2011. Words can only fall short of describing the impact of that visit. Please know that no matter what the future holds for African S.M.I.L.E., the dye has been cast and hundreds of destitute people have been given hope and have had their lives & spirits validated by your generous vision and efforts.

Is there more to do? Yes, always.  Yet let us take stock at what’s been accomplished and give thanks for the hundreds of people, both Nationals and supporters of African SMILE, who have worked together in good faith to transform an entire community.
