Next Trip To Tanzania

Our next series of trips are now scheduled for early 2018.

African S.M.I.L.E. will again be taking teams of volunteers back to Singida beginning in February of 2018.  We encourage volunteers to go back for at least 2 weeks at a time. This allows one to recover from the long flights from the U.S. to Tanzania and the ensuing day long commute from Mt. Kilimanjaro to Nkungi Village. Of course, longer trip durations are also available. Volunteers can combine the following two week trips in order to create a longer stay. The following are anticipated departure dates from the U.S. If these departure dates do not work, we may be able to accommodate other dates. Please inquire.

  • Option 1 is a February 5, 2018 departure, returning February 19, 2018
  • Option 2 is a February 12, 2018 departure, returning February 26, 2018
  • Option 3 is a February 19, 2018 departure, returning March 5, 2018
  • Option 3 is a February 26, 2018 departure, returning March 12, 2018

The focus of our next trip will include an educational focus as we complete the second half of a teacher duplex at the Primary School. Additionally, we will continue our efforts to support Charedeleco (the local community for those afflicted with Leprosy) by building 7 more homes/duplexes on our goal of providing up to 25 individual living spaces. All the while focusing on spreading the Good News of Christ’s love.  We will have numerous smaller projects as well.

Are you interested in going to Africa to support the work of African S.M.I.L.E.?  Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering! Regardless of your background or skill base, we can use you!
